April 23, 2007 – Philadelphia, PA: Schnader attorney Dennis R. Suplee was elected vice president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers by its Board of Directors at its annual meeting in Chicago on April 10, 2007.

Chartered in 1954, the academy’s purposes are to promote reforms in the law, improve the administration of justice and elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession. Active academy membership is limited to 500 Fellows from the United States. In addition, the academy includes Fellows from more than 30 other countries. Fellows are engaged in civil and criminal trial practice from both sides of the Bar. Admission to Fellowship is by invitation only to lawyers found to possess exceptional skill in trial and appellate practice, and to have promoted the best interests of the legal profession and the highest standards and techniques of advocacy.

Mr. Suplee served as chairman of Schnader from 1992 to 1998, and has handled a wide range of civil litigation in his time with the firm, including: complex antitrust litigation; cases related to the Americans with Disabilities Act and CERLA; patent infringement issues; product liability cases; and, defense of mass tort cases.
