Team Schnader Supports American Cancer Society

On July 9, 2006 by Schnader in News

‘Team Schnader’ again supported the American Cancer Society (ACS) and participated in the ACS’s 34th Annual Bike-a-thon Fundraiser on July 9, 2006.

In what is becoming an annual event at Schnader, individuals from the firm joined together and participated in the Bike-a-thon, a noncompetitive cycling event designed to raise awareness and dollars to fight cancer.

For the third year in a row, “Team Schnader” – led by Jim Meyer, and including Gary Barnum, Anjeanette Milner, Tyler Sewell, Dana Silver, Sam Silver, and Evan Silverstein – suited up in their team jerseys and went for a 58-mile ride from Philadelphia to Mays Landing, NJ on July 9, 2006.

In honor of the team’s effort, Schnader hosted ‘Schnader Wellness Week,’ from June 26 – June 30, 2006, which featured different events and lectures to help individuals learn more about health, wellness, nutrition and preventing disease. The week culminated in a ‘Wear Jeans to Work’ fundraiser, with all of the donations going to the American Cancer Society. Between the fundraising efforts of Team Schnader, and the fundraising efforts that took place during ‘Schnader Wellness Week,’ we were able to raise close to $7,000 for the American Cancer Society. This money will go to supporting the life-saving work of the American Cancer Society, and all of the critical research, education, advocacy and patient service programs they provide.
