Schnader’s Aviation Group has received yet another accolade to add to its stable of 2014 recognitions, which include practice group and individual attorney honors in Chambers USA 2014 and The Legal 500 USA 2014.

The 11th edition of the Aviation Expert Guide has recognized the practice group’s co-chair Jonathan M. Stern (Washington, DC office), former practice group chair Denny Shupe (Philadelphia office), and Barry S. Alexander (New York office) as “world leading Aviation attorneys.” This is Mr. Shupe’s second consecutive listing in the Aviation Expert Guide.

Chambers USA ranked Schnader among the top firms nationwide for its aviation litigation practice, noting that the group “acts on behalf of a series of global carriers and manufacturers in product liability and related insurance litigation surrounding the aviation industry, particularly in relation to accidents.”

The Legal 500 USA ranked Schnader among the top firms nationwide for Product Liability and Mass Tort Defense: Aerospace/Aviation, noting “‘top-notch’ Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP is ‘particularly well versed in aviation-related product litigation and the regulatory environment in which aviation companies operate’ and ‘offers a depth of resources in the areas of appellate practice and complex commercial litigation.'”

The Legal Media Group’s Expert Guide series, which has been in publication since 1994, involves an intensive, independent research and evaluation process. Legal Media Group sends more than 4,000 questionnaires to senior practitioners or in-house counsel involved in the relevant practice area in over 80 jurisdictions. The questionnaire asks the recipients to nominate leading practitioners based on their work and reputation. The results are reviewed, analyzed, and screened to remove biases. The resulting list is then discussed and refined with advisers in legal centers around the world.
