Titus Comments on Dismissal of Lawsuits

On June 12, 2006,¬†Paul Titus was quoted in the Times Leader article “Federal Judge Tosses Lawsuit Over Lawmakers’ Pay Raise.” The story also ran in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. The article explains that a federal judge threw out a lawsuit that sought to ban the tactics used by the state legislature to give lawmakers, judges and other government workers a pay raise in July. Paul, who was part of the team that represented Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Ralph J. Cappy, commented “We thought it was a misuse of the legal process to file that lawsuit. Obviously we’re very pleased that the judge viewed it that way and dismissed it.”
