Titus Noted in Oak Hill Residents’ Victory
On April 8, 2007 by Schnader in NewsIn April 8, 2007’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Paul Titus was featured in the article “How Mayor’s Needling, Paynes Persistence Paid Off In Oak Hill.” The article discusses the victory for Oak Hill residents in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, wherein they convinced the Pittsburgh Housing Authority and the City of Pittsburgh to honor promises to this former public housing project so that it would be transformed into a mixed-income sustainable community. Paul was asked to be the supervising attorney during the process. The major success was closing a $9 million gap in the four-year negotiation between the City of Pittsburgh and the developers, the Beacon/Corcoran Jennison Companies, to support the completion of development for the new community.
