Wellington Presents Task Force Report at Pa. Bar Meeting

On June 22, 2007, during the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) House of Delegates annual meeting in Philadelphia, Ralph Wellington presented the report of the PBA Task Force on Judicial Independence and Judicial Accountability, which was appointed in mid-2006 by PBA President Kenneth Horoho. The Task Force ­– whose members included: the Hon. Marjorie Rendell; Andrew Susko, incoming PBA president; Leslie Anne Miller; Schnader’s Kenneth Gormley, and eight other members – reviewed current assaults on judicial independence and made several recommendations for PBA involvement in educating the public, the media, and the Bar on the importance of an independent judiciary. All recommendations were adopted.
