Wellington Quoted in Legal Intelligencer Article on How the Uncertain Economy Is Affecting Law Firms
On September 19, 2008 by Schnader in LitigationRalph Wellington was quoted in the article “Pa. Firms Hope to Weather Market Meltdown,” published in The Legal Intelligencer on September 19, 2008. The changing financial climate is having a mixed effect on Pennsylvania law firms, as not many represent Lehman Brothers or Merrill Lynch, but several count Wachovia, AIG or Washington Mutual among their clients. Mr. Wellington explained that Schnader will continue to represent financial services companies and that the type of work the firm does for these types of clients has held steady or even picked up a bit in the past three to four months. “What falls off is some of the elective activity. The day-to-day work, like certain litigation matters, tax issues, and labor and employment, will continue.”
