William H. Brown Honored as a “Champion of Equal Opportunity”

On December 8, 2010, William H. Brown, III, a former Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), was a speaker and honoree at a program titled “The EEOC at 45: Charting a Path Toward Equal Employment,” held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia and sponsored by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission – Philadelphia District Office, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Executive Board.

Mr. Brown presented on “Reflections on the Past, Present and Future of the EEOC,” and was recognized for his life-long commitment to equal rights as a recipient of the Champions of Equal Employment Opportunity Award. Other recipients included the Honorable Johnny J. Butler of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Honorable Ida Chen of the Common Pleas Court of Philadelphia.
