William H. Brown, III Appointed to the City of Philadelphia Board of Ethics

On December 7, 2010, a committee of the City Council of Philadelphia approved the appointment of Schnader attorney William H. Brown, III to the City’s Board of Ethics; the appointment received final Council approval on December 16, 2010. Mr. Brown will fill one of two vacancies on the Board and his term will run through November 16, 2014.

The five-member, independent Philadelphia Board of Ethics was established by ordinance, approved by voters in May 2006, and installed on November 27, 2006. It is charged with providing ethics training for all city employees and enforcing city campaign finance, financial disclosure, and conflict of interest laws, and has authority to render advice, investigate complaints and issue fines.
