Desktop Support Analyst

Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, a long established national law firm, seeks to hire a full time team oriented Support Analyst to assist the Information Services team with first and second tier troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to Help Desk calls and emails by researching and troubleshooting problems with software applications, hardware, printers, laptops and smart phones
  • Provides deskside support
  • Provides printer and printer driver support for VDI environment as well as physical Windows computers
  • Enters tickets into Footprints ticketing system. Clearly documents user requests and issues on tickets
  • Provides status and communicates incident resolution to users
  • Performs software installation and upgrades on physical Windows computers
  • Provides support for users on Citrix VDI environment
  • Assists IS team with testing and troubleshooting of software packages
  • Performs support functions for various law firm applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Payne Numbering Assistant, iManage document management system and Best Authority
  • Participates in and contributes to department projects
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Provides on-site floor support and after hours support coverage

Experience:

  • Two years of desktop support experience
  • Experience with Citrix and VDI technology
  • Experience with Windows 10 and MAC computers
  • Experience working in a professional services environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Some experience with legal software applications: Payne Numbering Systems, iManage document management system, Best Authority and other legal software applications helpful

Skills:

  • Proficient with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Help Desk ticketing software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday – Friday; 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Some after-hours support needed on a rotating basis
