On October 23, 2019 by Schnader

Courtney Devon Taylor, vice-chair of the Securities Litigation Practice Group, presented about “Managing the Docket: Determining What Litigation Matters to Send Outside Counsel and What to Keep In-house” at the Litigation Law Full-day CLE Institute of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter, Association of Corporate Counsel on October 22, 2019.

Taylor addressed how to make the best decisions about what to send to outside counsel and what to manage in-house, involving a thorough analysis of the different factors affecting the success of the legal matters and the overall business. Considerations include issues such as cost, efficiency, available manpower, technological capacity, business knowledge, overall business and legal objectives, and, in certain situations, the distinct challenges presented by regulatory matters and high stakes matters with public visibility.
