African-American History Program

On February 20, 2008 by Schnader

On February 20, 2008, Tracey Overton was a speaker for the African-American History Program at Thomas J. Rubino Academy in Ewing, New Jersey.  Tracey discussed the history of African-American suffrage, and emphasized the importance of voting and how making poor choices today may negatively impact their ability to vote in the future.

The Academy, formerly known as the Mercer County Alternative High School, is designed to assist students who are experiencing difficulties in the traditional school environment by offering a non-traditional, yet highly effective alternative learning environment.
