EVENT DATE: March 2, 2022

Jonathan B. Skowron presented a CLE about “Arbitration Practice in Allegheny and Surrounding Counties,” on March 2, 2022 for the Allegheny County Bar Association.

This program provided an overview of all aspects of compulsory arbitration in Pennsylvania from commencement of the case through the hearing itself. Topics included pleadings, motions, discovery, hearings and appeal procedures. Special attention was given to the conduct of the hearing itself and how to handle certain evidentiary and ethical issues through application of Pa. R.C.P. 1305, as well as the rules governing appeal from the arbitrator’s decision.
