Schnader Partner Barry S. Alexander was a panelist at this year’s IATA Legal Symposium, which took place Wednesday, February 22, and Thursday, February 23 in Washington, D.C. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – or drones – are becoming more commonplace in today’s culture because of the widespread potential applications but their use raises serious potential safety concerns. Barry participated in an expert panel that reviewed and commented on the current state of drone operation and regulation, and what can be expected in the future.
The IATA Legal Symposium is the premier annual aviation law event for airlines, with a strong reputation for insight, relevance and value among in-house counsel, private practitioners and government lawyers. The 2017 IATA conference called upon leading experts from every corner of the world to examine the key challenges of the legal and regulatory environment impacting airlines.
