Brass Tacks for Working with Non-Profits

On April 25, 2007, Carolyn Nachmias co-presented a certified legal education course for Gratz College titled “Brass Tacks for Working with Non-Profits.” The event was held from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Gershman Y, a branch of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Philadelphia. The course was planned for practitioners who serve on boards of non-profit organizations or professionally advise these bodies as clients. Topics included tax liability, reporting requirements, board actions and behavior, and ethical issues.
