Cynthia Fischer, a partner in Schnader’s New York office, presented a seminar titled “Challenges and Opportunities Facing U.K. Architects in the U.S.” to the London chapter of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The seminar was held in London on January 29, 2009. Cynthia spoke on topics such as U.S. market expectations, corporate organization, contracts, professional licensing, and visas. The audience was composed of RIBA member architects interested in relocating to or working on specific projects in the United States as well as professionals working with U.K. architects. Cynthia is an affiliate member of the RIBA and is active in the U.S. region, serving as Secretary of the RIBA-USA.
