Deena Jo Schneider organized and helped to moderate a program on “Pricing Fundamentals in Latin America – Highlighting Brazil, Chile and Mexico” on April 25, 2013. The program was sponsored by the Pricing Conduct Committee and the International Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law.

The fourth program in the International Pricing Fundamentals Series focused on Latin American pricing laws and enforcement policies. Speakers from Brazil, Chile and Mexico explained how the competition law in each country is implemented and how it treats pricing conduct, and also discussed recent cases and the types of conduct most likely to be examined or challenged. The topics covered included excessive and predatory pricing, loyalty discounts, and resale price maintenance.
