Effective Advocacy in the Federal Appellate Courts

On May 2, 2008 Nancy Winkelman was a course planner and a presenter at the Third Circuit Judicial Conference held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The presentation, titled “Improving Federal Appellate Practice,” also included four Third Circuit Court of Appeals judges and three other appellate practitioners. The Judicial Conference, held annually, is attended by district court, bankruptcy court, and Court of Appeals judges in the Third Circuit and is open to members of the bar every other year. The conference addresses issues of importance to the administration of justice, as well as current legal developments in the Third Circuit.

Ms. Winkelman also participated in the Judicial Conference in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
