Eisenhower Attends Marshall Scholarship Event
On January 27, 2007 by SchnaderOn January 27, 2007, Jim Eisenhower attended an informal roundtable discussion and reception with His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and with other students, trustees, and alumni of the Marshall Scholarship program. HRH Prince Charles is the patron of the program and Jim is an alumni. The event, which was held at the International House in Philadelphia, was a chance for all involved to meet each other, discuss the Marshall program, and to discuss efforts at strengthening the Marshall alumni organization.
Marshall Scholarships provide funding to young Americans to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. At least forty students are selected each year to study at a United Kingdom institution in any field of study. Each scholarship is held for two years, with limited opportunity to apply for an extension beyond the initial period.
