Former Managing Partner of Schnader’s Washington Office Honored by the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists

The American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists (AAJLJ) honored Martin Mendelsohn with a 2009 Pursuit of Justice Award at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C. on December 3. Mr. Mendelsohn, the former managing partner of the Washington D.C. office of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, was recognized for his career-long dedication to the cause of human rights and pursuit of justice for all, which included serving as the founder of the Department of Justice’s Office of Special Investigations and as pro bono counsel for Holocaust survivors in their litigation against the Swiss banks. The AAJLJ also recognized the achievements of Robert L. Weinberg, the retired founding partner of Williams and Connolly, the former President of AAJLJ, and the former President of the District of Columbia Bar. John B. Britton, the current managing partner of the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office, as well as Neil T. Proto and Jonathan M. Stern, both from the Schnader’s Washington, D.C. office, also attended the event.
