In-House Counsel Speak: The Shifting Employment Law Landscape

Karen Baillie, partner and co-chair of Schnader’s Higher Education Practice Group, moderated a discussion panel at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Employment Law Institute West conference on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  The panel, entitled, “In-House Counsel Speak: The Shifting Employment Law Landscape Under the Current Administration,” looked at the challenges in-house counsel face as states and localities enact more employment laws. 

Ms. Baillie’s labor and employment practice includes employment counseling, policy review, investigating and responding to complaints, and representing clients in litigation. She handles diverse employment issues, including discharge and discipline, discrimination, accommodation of disabilities, leaves, wage and hour, workplace safety, labor arbitration hearings, union election campaigns, collective bargaining agreements, drug testing, investigations, reductions in force, unfair competition, trade secrets, and separation agreements.
