Intellectual Property Issues: From Formation to Funding

On April 20, 2015 by Schnader

In conjunction with Philly Tech Week 2015, Schnader was pleased to host “Intellectual Property Issues: From Formation to Funding” on Monday, April 20, 2015. Ronald Ventola II and Elliot Dater spoke and answered questions about securing intellectual property rights (i) at formation, (ii) when a founder leaves, (iii) when a new employee / service provider contributes IP to the company; and (iv) when capital is raised (both debt or equity). Discussion included a quick review of the documentation that banks and investors generally expect to see from a company that either generates its own IP or makes significant use of IP licensed from others.
