Karen Baillie presented a session on legal and regulatory compliance issues at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators on Wednesday, July 24 in Lancaster, PA.
The session – “Is this Reasonable? Legal-Issue Spotting for Schools in 2019” – addressed tips and best practices to protect schools and academic management before issues become problems. Topics for discussion included discrimination and harassment, recruiting students, accommodating disabilities for students and employees, signing written contracts, and supervising employees.
Baillie is co-chair of Schnader’s Higher Education Practice Group. She is experienced in counseling and defending educational institutions and businesses in matters related to employees, students, and other constituencies.
