Jo Bennett and Anne Kane Spoke at Employment Law Seminar

Partners Jo Bennett and Anne Kane were on the faculty for the National Business Institute’s CLE seminar “Advanced Employment Law: What You Need to Know,” which took place November 1st and 2nd, 2016 in Philadelphia.

The two-day course was designed for attorneys, human resource managers, and C-suite executives. Seminar topics for day one included LGBT/sexual orientation discrimination, employee discrimination claims, FMLA issues, ADA accommodations, claims of retaliation, and enforceability of mandatory arbitration clauses. Topics discussed on day two include: new FLSA requirements, independent contractor issues, internal investigations, EEOC and state agency charges, non-compete agreements, drugs, alcohol and medical marijuana in the workplace, and ethical issues in employment law.
