Joseph Lundy Presented at Washington Non-Profit Legal & Tax Conference

Attorney Joseph Lundy moderated “Buckle Up: A Control Freak’s Guide to Nonprofit Governance Structures” at the Washington Non-Profit Legal & Tax Conference on Thursday, March 19, 2015. He also took part in “Exempt Organization Roundtable: Trends and Tips” on Friday, March 20. In the first panel, he examined issues relating to nonprofit governance, including ownership; the benefits of incorporating activities; predictable and established state law governance framework; protecting the interests of the stakeholders; the role of articles and bylaws; members, directors, officers, and volunteers; financial statements; and board meetings and policies. The Roundtable provided an opportunity for attendees to ask panelists questions and discuss the issues they face.
