Laurel Gift and Bruce Merenstein Spoke at PACDL Conference

Schnader Partners Laurel Gift and Bruce Merenstein were presenters at the upcoming Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers White Collar Conference, taking place November 15-16 in Philadelphia. Ms. Gift was moderating a panel titled, “State and Federal Grand Jury Practice in the Era of Mueller and PA Grand Jury Reform Efforts” and Mr. Merenstein participated on the panel titled, “Appellate Issues from United States v. Fattah and Beyond.” The panel addressed a number of difficult and interesting issues that appellate lawyers have been facing at trial and on appeal, including disputes among jurors during deliberations; the admissibility and offensive use of Rule 404(b) evidence; and the application of RICO conspiracy in political corruption cases.

Ms. Gift is chair of Schnader’s Criminal Defense and Internal Investigations Practice Group and Mr. Merenstein is chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group.
