Megan E. Harmon presented at the 2013 Federation of New York Solid Waste & Recycling Conference “Strive for Sustainability” on May 6, 2013 in Bolton Landing, NY. Ms. Harmon joined moderator Anna Roppolo, Rockland County SWMA and panelists Robert Lange, City of New York Department of Sanitation and Mario Parise, Westchester County to present “Let’s Make a Deal.” Ms. Harmon discussed “The Ins and Outs of Public/Private Partnerships.”

The Federation of New York Spring Conference and Trade Show attracts over 700 public and private sector solid waste and recycling professionals each year. Its programs feature diverse topics such as: product/packaging stewardship initiatives, comprehensive engineering strategies for managing facilities, building local environmental activism, organics diversion and processing, graduate student projects, utilizing social media, conversion technologies and lessons learned from Superstorm Sandy.
