New York State Bar Association CLE – How to Litigate a Products Liability Case: The Fundamentals

On March 2, 2007, Carl Schaerf served as the moderator for the “How to Litigate a Products Liability Case: The Fundamentals” program, which was co-sponsored by the New York Bar Association’s Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section, its Trial Lawyers Section, and its Committee on Continuing Legal Education.

Peter Langenus presented “Ethical Considerations in Products Liability Litigation.” The program was intended for anyone involved in the evaluation or litigation of product liability matters from start to finish, and discussed several theories under which a plaintiff might bring a claim and how defense attorneys might defeat such a claim.

Carl also presented “Cross Examination: Challenging the Opposing Expert.” The event was held at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel in New York, New York.
