Panel Discussion: Surety Lawyers & Electronic Data Storage Systems

On October 15, 2009 by Schnader

Scott St. Marie, a partner in the Firm’s New York office, participated in a panel discussion at the National Bond Claims Association’s annual meeting in Brazelton, Georgia on October 15. The session, “Surviving the Digital Tsunami – Managing Construction Documents in the 21st Century,” addressed the drastic changes the construction industry is undergoing regarding the ways project documents are created, filed, and stored – not only are construction drawings going digital, but so are correspondences, RFI’s, meeting minutes, submittals, project photographs and schedules.  Mr. St. Marie discussed the surety lawyer’s perspective on electronic data storage systems used by contractors on large construction projects.
