Penn Law Crisis Negotiation Exercise

Partner Denny Shupe and associate David Struwe served as mentors to University of Pennsylvania Law School students for the course, “Law 565: International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Exercise.”  The course was conducted virtually from March 19-21. Created by the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the U.S. Army War College’s Center for Strategic Leadership, the exercise called on eight teams of law students to apply multilateral diplomacy and negotiate a resolution to a simulated crisis in the South China Sea. Mr. Shupe was the mentor for the Brunei delegation and Mr. Sturwe was the mentor for the Japan delegation.
