Roundtable Discussion October Term 1951 Law Clerks
On May 16, 2007 by SchnaderOn May 16, 2007, Ken Gormley will be a co-moderator for Chautauqua Institution’s “Roundtable Discussion October Term 1951 Law Clerks,” which will be held at 2 p.m. in the Institution’s Elizabeth S. Lenna Hall in Chautauqua, NY. At the event, former Supreme Court law clerks who served during the October Term in 1951 will discuss the famous Steel Seizure Case, in which the Supreme Court declared President Harry Truman’s seizure of the nation’s steel mills during the Korean War to be unconstitutional, and other notable aspects of their law clerk service and Court decisions from their time on the Court 55 years ago.
