Sarah Hewitt and Catherine McGrath Participated in Brooklyn Law School’s Business Boot Camp

On January 8, 2013, Sarah Hewitt and Catherine M. McGrath participated in Brooklyn Law School’s Business Boot Camp, an intensive course on advising the entrepreneur, along with peers from Deloitte Financial Advisory Services and the Royal Bank of Scotland. The goal of the Business Boot Camp was to introduce students to issues from the business person’s perspective, and provide students with the vocabulary and framework they will need to communicate effectively with clients and evaluate their needs. The program covered topics including the development of business plans; types and sources of financing; capital budgeting; valuation; how to read a financial statement; and the purchase and sale of businesses.
