Saul Wilensky Explored “Fire Law 2015: Claims and Defenses After Fires and Explosions”

Counsel Saul Wilenksy took part of a New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) panel discussion on “Fire Law 2015: Claims and Defenses After Fires and Explosions,” held on Friday, November 6, 2015, in New York City. The program was also available via webcast. Every day there are new reports of fires causing injury or damages, both in residential and commercial properties, and a variety of lawsuits may stem from those fires as potential clients seek an attorney to represent them. This program familiarized attorneys with the basic principles of handling fire and explosion cases, along with the issues in play and potential theories and defenses typical in these cases, from both plaintiff and defense perspectives. It also highlighted strategies for inspections and use of experts.
