Schnader Attorneys Support the Perkins Center for the Arts’ and Attend the Center’s Latin Nights and Sights Event
On May 14, 2010 by SchnaderSchnader was a sponsor of the Perkins Center for the Arts’ Latin Night and Sights event on May 14, which raised approximately $12,000 to support arts education and scholarship opportunities at the Center. Several Schnader lawyers attended the event including Perkins Board member and Treasurer, Melissa Blanton, an associate in our Philadelphia office, Kevin Blanton, a partner in our Philadelphia office, Jon Hughes, a partner in our Pittsburgh office, Vincent LaMonaca, a partner in our Philadelphia office, and Jeffrey God, a partner in our Philadelphia office.
This special evening featured the flavors, colors & rhythms of Latin America through a variety of exciting activities, music and experiences, including wine tastings and beer samplings, mouthwatering tapas and desserts by the Tortilla Press restaurant, a wide selection of art and other craft items on display, a live and silent auction, live music by En Passant of Folkloric Heritage and performances by the ArgentTango Dancers.
The Perkins Center for the Arts is a unique cultural organization dedicated to providing a wide range of creative opportunities for people of all ages and every level of artistic development. The Center’s programs include visual and performing arts classes and lessons, exhibitions, music and dance performances, workshops, visiting artists’ residencies, and an outreach program for children, underserved communities, and individuals with special needs. Recognized by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as a Major Arts Presenting Organization, the Perkins Center offers arts programs that promote participation, understanding and communication amongst people. As a non-profit organization, Perkins Center receives financial support, donations and services from membership, friends, businesses, corporations and foundations.
