Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, along with PNC, presented “Nonprofit Boards: Hot Topics – What to Look for Before and After Becoming a Director” in our Philadelphia office on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Marla K. Conley, an attorney in the Firm’s Nonprofit Organizations Practice Group, opened the event with a presentation on the basics of federal and state laws applicable to nonprofit entities and their directors. Edward J. Sholinsky, an attorney in the Firm’s Litigation Department, moderated a panel of current directors, including Schnader partners Cynthia G. Fischer and J. Denny Shupe, and PNC Senior Banking Advisor Jack Hall and Senior Trust Advisor Ronald L. Caputo. The program portion of the evening was followed by a networking reception for fundraisers and current directors to meet with potential donors and volunteers.
