On February 22, 2012 by Schnader

Albert S. Dandridge, III, Chief Diversity Officer and chair of the Firm’s Securities Practice Group, spoke at the “Meet the Judges and Legislators” event on February 22, 2012. Held by the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, the event celebrated the first time in history that African-Americans held the posts of chief judge of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and chief magistrate judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania at concurrent times. Mr. Dandridge spoke on the historical significance of the event, highlighting a list of only 111 Philadelphia based African-American attorneys having been admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar between 1920 and 1970. That list contained the names of several U.S. District Court Judges.

Media coverage of the event was noted in The Legal Intelligencer.
