Letwin Named Chair of Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau

PITTSBURGH (May 4, 2006) – Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis managing partner Jeff Letwin has been named chair of the board of directors of the Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“With its focus on promoting Pittsburgh to the world, The Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau plays a critical role in driving our region’s economy,” said Letwin. “I am honored to serve in this role.”

The Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau was established in 1935 to create revenue and jobs in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh by generating convention and leisure travel business. The GPCVB's mission remains intact today as the official tourist promotion agency of Allegheny County and as an independent, nonprofit organization serving its business membership.

Jeff Letwin is managing partner of Schnader's Pittsburgh office, which includes 31 attorneys. Jeff’s work includes business counseling related to corporate finance, securities, franchising, and municipal and government services. Letwin’s community involvement includes membership on the City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission, the board of Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Pittsburgh and the board of directors of Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
