“2011 Sees Focus on Whistleblowing and Dodd-Frank Claims”

Chris W. Haaf and Monica C. Platt co-authored the article “2011 Sees Focus on Whistleblowing and Dodd-Frank Claims” which was published in the January 2012 edition of Business Law Today, a publication from the American Bar Association Business Law Section. In 2011, courts addressed a variety of securities law claims arising from the newly enacted Dodd-Frank Act. Many of the cases focused on the interpretation and applicability of the Act’s whistleblower provisions, but they also showed that while Dodd-Frank may have expanded protections for informants, Sarbanes-Oxley is still very much in play.
