Book Review of “Acts of Omission” by James S. Botswick

On August 7, 2020 by Schnader

Dennis R. Suplee published a book review of “Acts of Omission” by James S. Botswick, Esq., in The Philadelphia Lawyer (Summer 2020), the quarterly magazine of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

He wrote: “This is a book about a trial lawyer written by a trial lawyer. But, unlike virtually every other book of that genre, this book is not about a criminal defense lawyer handling a criminal case. Instead, this book is about a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer handling a catastrophic injury case in which liability is very dicey. The book is so realistic that it is easy to lose sight of the fact that it is a work of fiction.”

Suplee served as Chairman of the Firm from 1992 to 1998, and has handled a wide range of civil litigation. He regularly handles mediations and arbitrations, and is on the AAA National Roster of Mediators and Arbitrators.
