“Defending Crane Manufacturers: New OSHA Standards Improve Position from the Start”

On December 1, 2009 by Schnader

Carl J. Schaerf and Harris Neal Feldman co-authored an article “Defending Crane Manufacturers: New OSHA Standards Improve Position from the Start,” published in the December 2009 issue of For the Defense, the monthly publication of the Defense Research Institute (DRI). The article discusses the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s proposed new crane standards in operator training, inspection, and evaluation of surrounding conditions, intended to place responsibility for accident prevention at crane operated sites on employers and contractors, not on manufacturers.
