“Is Appellate Jurisdiction Always Jurisdictional?”

Bruce Merenstein authored a post for The Legal Intelligencer Blog published on November 4 examining the question of appellate jurisdiction as it relates to Pennsylvania’s highest court and exploring whether, if the parties agree that the intermediate appellate court had appellate jurisdiction, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court must satisfy itself that this is the case rather than simply proceeding to the merits of the appeal from the intermediate appellate court’s final order.
