“Lawyers’ ad against court candidate is disgraceful”

On October 26, 2015 by Schnader

The Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee recently approved a plan to amend the state’s constitution to create a merit-selection process for the appointment of appellate judges in lieu of the electoral process by which judges are currently chosen in Pennsylvania. However, until the reforms are enacted, judges are still going through the typical election process, which can often include attack ads. Former appellate judge and Schnader attorney Timothy K. Lewis decries the use of the ads against Superior Court Judge Judy Olson, a candidate for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, in “Lawyers’ ad against court candidate is disgraceful.”
