“Prevailing Parties Do Not Have to Appeal After All”

Bruce Merenstein authored a post for The Legal Intelligencer Blog published on June 30 examining the unanimous opinion issued June 23 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Basile v. H&R Block, where it was held that prevailing parties need not file an appeal or cross-appeal from subsidiary rulings when they do not seek to expand the relief they have obtained in the trial court.
