The Crowdfund Act: Can it really work?

On February 22, 2013 by Schnader

Elliot Dater authored a commentary titled “The Crowdfund Act: Can it really work?” published in the Pittsburgh Business Times on February 22, 2013. In the article, Mr. Dater warns that businesses or investors may not see an actual benefit through the Crowdfund Act. Last year, the Crowdfund Act was signed into law as part of the JOBS Act, changing U.S. securities regulation to enable entrepreneurs to raise capital by selling securities to nonaccredited, nonsophisticated investors through crowdfunding portals on the Internet.
