Third Circuit Rejects New Jersey’s Effort to Sanction Sports Wagering

In NCAA v. Christie, the Third Circuit rejected New Jersey’s challenge to the constitutionality of a federal law that prohibits most states from sanctioning sports wagering. Unless New Jersey chooses to appeal and is successful, the state will not be permitted to implement the legislation it passed authorizing sports wagering.
